Star Track Cycling at Randall’s Island Crit 18 Mar 2023

That was a tough Cat 4/5 race. The pack went really fast and it was sketchy. It was about a 6 feet wide course and the pack was 5 feet wide. Ari, Alvin, Viv, and I got pulled out 20 minuets into the 45-minute race. I think I should have tried to eat better in the morning because I only had a few bars.

Alvin and I worked together for a bit and Ari was riding with someone else ahead of Alvin and me. I had a good warm-up. The temperature was a little less than 40 degrees but good that I was pretty warm. I think I could have taken off my jacket before the race. I tried the new shoe covers and gloves that I got from the “Frozen 4”. It was a good idea, but I should not experiment on a race day. The organizer Alex let juniors race for free so my dad was happy. Was a good race and I am glad that I went.
